Who: School-wide event put on by the PTA.
What: Bring the kids in to make holiday gifts for family and friends. For just a few dollars, kids can make and wrap presents to give during the holidays. We also have vendors selling popular gift items to help you with your holiday shopping.
Plus – We’ll be raffling off giant gift baskets. Each has a theme, like coffee, chocolate, etc and is assembled using donations from each classroom.
When: Usually in late November or early December.
Where: In the Gym or Cafeteria and the Media Center (Book Fair)
Why: This is a “give back” event to help the kids prepare for the holidays. Crafts are priced low so that kids can afford them with piggy-bank money.
How: This event needs helpers with patience who can work with kids, glitter, glue and paint!
$ – Bring cash or your checkbook – each craft is around $3-$5. Raffle tickets for the baskets will be available as well at $1 each. Most vendors accept a variety of payment types.
Tips: There are more crafts than there is time! So, talk to kids in advance about who they are making gifts for, then walk around first to decide which crafts you’ll do.
